FROM.UZ at “Meetings in Russia” festival.

On April 2 in Sankt Petersburg (Russia) started the 10th International International Theater Festival “Meetings in Russia” where the Youth Theatre of Uzbekistan performed their “Sodom and Gomorra XXI“ accompanied by progressive rock band FROM.UZ. It became a very important event in theatre’s life because this year the Youth Theatre of Uzbekistan celebrates the 80th anniversary.

The Youth Theatre of Uzbekistan and prog rock band FROM.UZ participated in International Theatre Festival named by A.P. Chekhov with “Sodom and Gomorra XXI”.
There were 53 plays from Russia, France, Germany, Great Britain, Japan, USA, China, Brazil and Uzbekistan in the program of this festival and “Sodom and Gomorra XXI”, the plastic show in progressive rock style, was one of them. read more…

About Fromuz

Fromuz was formed in the summer of 2004 in Tashkent. Their goal was to raise the quality of progressive music in Uzbekistan.
In 2007 Fromuz released their first album "Audio Diplomacy" via 10T Records (USA). Just after this release in March 2007, the band was invited at the Baja Prog Festival in Mexico.
Nowadays Fromuz has 4 prog rock albums, they are “Audio Diplomacy” (2007), “Overlook” (2008), “Seventh Story” (2010), "Quartus Artifactus" (2011) and 2 DVD-videos - “Playing the Imitation” (2007) and ‘Inside Seventh Story” (2010). The style of Fromuz is determined like prog fusion with elements of classic progressive rock , art rock, blues, space rock and progressive metal.
